Tot School Week 15- Thanksgiving

{Carter is 44 months old}

This week was Thanksgiving!  Here's a few things we did...

Colored our Thanksgiving verse.

Fall sensory bin turned into sensory dumptruck.

Making a turkey with a kit we got from a used bookstore (for FREE!).

Carter wanted to take a picture of me.

All finished!

Last but not least, the feast!  Turkey at the kiddie table (that's Hunter, my nephew).

I'm thankful for...

Getting to spend time with Coleman in his classroom for Thanksgiving centers...

My dump truck lovin' boy...

That sweet dimpled smile...

And those annual hockey pucks homemade biscuits that the hubby makes, not to mention the jokes and laughter we share.

This Thanksgiving I am counting my blessings, hockey pucks and all.  Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

 

Turkey t-shirt craft

I would have posted this on last week's Tot School post but we just got around to the craft part of the last week!  Kind of last minute, but maybe some of you want to do one too- you know, in between all the baking and cleaning going on...

If you want to make one too, here is what you'll need:

• Brown, red, yellow, and green acrylic paint (I mixed the red and yellow to make orange)
• T-shirt
• Google eyes (not necessary)
• Glue for eye, either craft glue or hot glue gun, although watch your fingers- I burned mine because those eyes are tiny!
• Child's hand

Paint their hand like this:

Put on the shirt and presto- instant turkey!  Later, I painted on the beak and legs.  I attached the eye- I think next time my burnt finger wants me to use craft glue!  Also, before I could turn around, Carter was adding the "grass".  I painted on the "Crazy Turkey" saying too.  He's all ready now!

 

Tot School Week 13

{Carter is 43 months old}

Considering the fact that I had this post written but was erased my children, I will be short this week.  Tot School only happened once this week due to my radiator in the van that needed to be fixed.  Yes, it was one of those weeks.

We started our Thanksgiving theme this week, from 1+1+1=1.  Carter is rolling out playdough for the letter T.

We made a runway for his jet.
