I read about this idea in another blog, how input through their bottom, somehow sends a message to their brain. Basically, I call it a wiggle seat. Anybody you know likes to wiggle at the table?
I ordered two of the j/fit Fit Discs, one for each of the boys. They loved how there was a smooth side and bumpy side. Carter, loves the bumpy while Coleman usually favors the smooth. When he first got it though, he loved to sit with his legs on top, causing dot indents on his legs.
I can't say that the seat cushion makes them perfect angels or anything, but I have noticed Coleman leaves the table less and stays in his seat more. Also, we can use them for balance activities later.
Tip: Make sure you pump them up correctly. I was doing it wrong and wasn't getting enough air in them. Jake had to figure it out.
